Ian Murray, CFP®, CSLP®

Financial Advisor

Ian is a financial advisor who assists in the day-to-day needs of the firm’s clients. He focuses his specialized practice on attorneys in the early stages of their careers by helping them navigate student loan debt, budgeting, retirement planning, and any client-specific goals they may have. Ian recently earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification which indicates he has met extensive training and experience requirements, and commit to CFP Board’s ethical standards.

Ian holds his Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Finance from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, where he played NCAA Division II Soccer as a freshman. He is licensed with his Series 66 and holds life and health insurance licenses, as well as the Certified Student Loan Professional (CSLP®) designation. The CSLP® program provides in-depth training on student loan advising and planning, which is a valuable tool Ian uses with clients managing student loan debt.

At their core, financial advisors seek to help people! A lot of people have similar goals to a degree (i.e., they want to be able to retire comfortably, make sure their investments are appropriately diversified, or send a child to college debt-free), but everyone is different. This encourages Ian to learn new strategies and explore new solutions on a daily basis.

According to Ian, learning new processes and tactics to help clients reach their financial goals is what keeps his job exciting. He believes there’s nothing like seeing a client’s face light up when a path is laid out that aims to help them achieve their goals.

When Ian is not working, you can usually find him on a lake somewhere, at the golf course, or on the snowboard slopes in the colder months.
